Water treatment
Water sector covers large area of desalination of aqueous solutions with various concentrations of salts and other impurities. Desalination is done by electromembrane processes (ED, EDI) and pressure driven membrane processes (RO). Surface waters, ground waters and waste waters with salinity up to sea level are desalinated using membrane processes driven by electric and pressure field. Valuable products are being separated from industrial waste waters. As an example we can show applications in desalination of waters coming from biological treatment of sewage waste water, purified water can be used for irrigation purposes. Desalination of ground water and complex solution of surface water treatment are among our other applications. We have developed electrodeionization units for ultra pure water production in comprehensive line of product water outputs.
Food and beverages
Dairy is our main area of application in food and beverages industry. We are developing desalination units for sweet, sour and salt whey. We research the possibility of valuable nutritious products preparation from the whey. Pretreatment of whey by MF and UF is among our activities as well as lactose concentration by NF, recirculation of water from concentrate stream by RO and searching for the whey salt application area.
Pharmacy
Salt is often produced in the pharmaceutical reactions. Separation of ionic substances from the solution of nonionic organics is the ideal field for electrodialysis ED. Redundant salt products of the reaction are being transported while active pharmaceutical molecules remain untouched.
Automotive
We cooperate with companies of the automotive industry in the field of surface finishing. Electrophoretic paint baths contains products of electrochemical reactions of paint with the painted object. It is possible to reduce wastes from painting process and to make the process continuous by removing of these excessive molecules from the bath by their transport through ion active membrane.
Power and heat production
We search for the possibilities of membrane process application in the field of water purification in power and heat industry. Cooling water blowdown, cooling water makeup, boiler water and surface water purification for industrial usage are our interest in this field. Particle impurities are removed classic pretreatment, MF/UF, water is softened chemically, NF and desalinated RO, ED, EDI.
Biogas
Enrichment of biogas for methane is our aim as well as reduction of corrosive gasses concentration in the biogas by separation in gaseous phase to raise heating power and suppress corrosion of construction at biogas burning facilities. Treatment of liquid waste products of biogas stations is our interest too.
