Transfer of research results into industrial practice is the main activity of MemBrain s.r.o. We follow state-of-the-art knowledge and technologies when trying to find optimal solution to bring modern separation methods into industrial practice of our customers. Technology design is usually created stepwise from laboratory tests, mathematical description of the process and pilot scale tests to full scale technology:
- recommendation of available separation possibilities by membrane processes
- laboratory testy for finding approximate parameters of membrane process
- pilot test at the application place on the real solutions
- modeling of the process for pilot tests verification
- membrane process unit operations design
- design of complex membrane separation technology
- technical and economical study of the process
Deep knowledge is needed to design membrane technology for long term operation consuming low amounts of chemicals and energy. We are gaining the knowledge during the cooperation with academic institutions. Documented technological design ready to be put under construction in any construction company is a product of knowledge transfer.
MemBrain is also active in the field of of oriented research. Results of these activities are usually not directly applicable on the market, “only” scientific articles are produced, but help us to keep in touch with the modern trends in membrane research. We cooperate with several academic institutions in the field of electro membrane processes, nanotechnology, polymer material science etc. We offer partnership for academic institutions in the field of solution fo separation problem using membrane processes.
